My new PC is broken

Near the end of the month of May, I bought a brand new computer. I didn't really need a new one, but I wanted more memory and to do so, I needed to run Windows Vista 64 bits and to be able to, I needed to buy 64 bits compatible parts.

As well as getting a new PC, I gave my old computer to my wife to allow her to play The Sims 3 with more than decent graphics.

But now only a week after my purchase, the computer began to act funny. Sometimes it would not start, sometimes it was freezing. So I brought it back to the store to get it fixed. Today, I got a call from the tech telling me he found the problem. Apparently, it would be a voltage issue with the DDR3 memory. With my agreement, he will keep my PC for the night to be sure the problem is fixed.

I hope to get it back in good condition soon, because I'm beginning to miss him

Pittsburgh Penguins are Stanley Cup Champions

We had quite a Stanley Cup final last night. Seventh and decisive game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. Pittsburgh wanted to change the outcome of this rematch of last year's finals.

Early on in the game, we saw Pittsburgh take control of the game, leaving Detroit helpless. Thanks to Maxime Talbot's efforts, Pittsburgh take the lead 2-0 after 2 periods. Detroit got the best of the third period over an obviously tired team. However, Marc-André Fleury wasn't tired yet.

With this beautiful 2-1 win, the Penguins were able to lift the Stanley Cup, their first since 1992. After injuring his knee in the second period, Sidney Crosby was able to accept the first Stanley Cup of his young career.

Now, we can only laugh at Marian Hossa who went from Pittsburgh to Detroit only to be able to win a Stanley Cup.

Congratulations to the Champions!

We finally got a new home

After several months of research, many projects that fail and many compromises, we're glad to announce that we bought a house. Of course, there are still some little details to take care of, paper signing, do an inspection... but beside that, it is ours.

It is a modest house without basement including 2 bedrooms. It is big enough for us 4 (including the animals ) and the house is already adapted for a handicapped person. So there won't be much adaption left to do.

The road has been long and sometimes hard and we had to put some of our dreams aside to find a house. We are more than happy to have found this marvel. Like I mention earlier, there are just little things find left to be able to take care of. Then, we will be able to move in.

What may take longer is getting the help of the Government to adapt some things to my needs. Let's hope it will be quick!

Here is a little funny video just to laugh a little. This is Bonnie Tyler, Total Eclipse of the Heart. However, the lyrics have been changed to describe what is going on on the screen.

My wife will be sad to see a spoof of a song she likes so much.

NOTE: The video takes long to load. Click here to go directly the video.

Here is the first video of NHL 10. The video shows some new features like first-person fighting, board play and player intimidation (face wash).

So far, it seems NHL 10 will be a huge improvement from 09 and it may become the best EA Sports hockey of all time.
